waterfront retreat
viewing pleasure
This Annapolis waterfront home provides incredible views both inside and out. Picking a vantage point was like a kid in a candy store. Our priority at dusk was the hero image of the rear of the home overlooking the surrounding landscape. Once captured, we raced to get several more exterior angles of both the front and rear elevations before we lost the light completely.
Golden hour brings warmth to the scene with dappled light and long shadows. Lighting the fire pit and adding some minor styling accessories brings life to this shot, which was the featured cover image on Chesapeake Views, Spring 2023.
framing nature with architecture
The architectural design takes full advantage of its surroundings, strategically framing the natural beauty outside like a natural piece of art. Preserving this aspect was crucial, as it was essential to capture the interior's features and design while maintaining a seamless connection to what was outside.
small and mighty
A stunning monochrome cloud wallpaper treatment, and naturally functional flagstone flooring ensure even the bathrooms have visual interest.
sunrise to sunset
The positioning of the property meant beginning our shoot just after sunrise all the way through sunset to ensure we got the best lighting for all elevation shots and views.
The massive property included a long walk down to a boathouse with even more grounds to explore and capture. This boathouse shot taken in the late afternoon prevented a blown out water and allowed us to capture a bit of water reflection and variation in the landscaping.
