Step inside this ultra-modern home, where sleek elegance meets grand design. At first glance, you might think you’ve stumbled into an AI-generated image, it’s all so perfect, but rest assured, this is very much real. From the floating staircases, which form angles that could be mistaken for abstract art, to the grand room with a massive fireplace and seemingly endless windows that frame the lush greenery outside, this space feels almost too perfect for the real world (but it is). The timing of the shoot was crucial to capture the optimal angles of light, ensuring we did justice to the meticulously designed grand room.

This grand project in Bethesda, Maryland, is the result of a longstanding relationship between the client and their luxury interior designer, based in Chicago. The outcome is a stunning blend of grandeur and sophistication, perfect for showhome appeal, yet infused with personal touches, including artwork, sculpture, and softer living spaces designed for relaxation.

Aside from a few pops of colorful artwork, this home is ultimately monochrome with a supporting act from the natural greenery outside. It’s a testament to the design’s depth that each room feels fresh and unique, despite the consistent colour scheme. Capturing the variation in materials—from reflective surfaces to cosy soft furnishings—along with careful consideration of angles and framing, ensured this grand space was showcased in its full glory.
